WELCOME to the Enfield Strategic Partnership
The Enfield Strategic Partnership (ESP) has been
set up to bring together all the major public
sector organisations, local businesses, community
and voluntary groups to make our borough the best
place to live, work, study, visit and do business.
The aim of the Partnership is to ensure that everyone involved in promoting the social, economic and environmental well-being of Enfield is able to work together in a coordinated way to improve the quality of life in the borough and deliver our vision:
“To have a healthy, prosperous, cohesive community and a borough that is safe, clean and green”
All the organisations taking part
in the ESP are committed to work together and individually
to achieve this common goal.
The ESP produced a Community Strategy, "Enfield’s Future" to help it achieve this. The Strategy has been reviewed and a copy of the new Strategy
is available for download from the website.
This website tells you more about the ESP, its membership
and activities and gives you information about its
work.
The ESP's key role is to:
- Monitor and develop the Community Strategy for
our borough. This is a partnership plan to improve
the economic, social and environmental well being
of those who live, work, study, visit and do business in
Enfield.
- Ensure that agencies and organisations work
together sharing resources, expertise and information
to identify and tackle key local issues.
- Implement and deliver the Local Area Agreement, the aim of which is to achieve local solutions that meet local needs by working together to improve the quality of life for all our residents.
The ESP is recognised as a high performing partnership; it has been singled out by Government Office for London as ‘Green’ for partnership working and achieved ‘Amber Green’ overall for delivery under the performance assessment process against the six mandatory neighbourhood renewal outcomes.
In the six areas considered in this process the ESP attained Greens for Crime, Housing and Liveability and Amber Greens for Education, Health and Worklessness. It was further noted that the ESP’s rating of ‘Green’ for Crime placed Enfield amongst the top performing Boroughs in London and demonstrated partnership working of a high standard, as well as an understanding of underlying issues and commitment from key stakeholders.
A recent Audit Commission report on learning from the CPA 2005/06 has also highlighted the ESP as ‘partnership that delivers its priorities, with visible outcomes for local people’.
